Obtain 17-Digit Employer Code

ESIC issues a 17-digit employer code upon successful registration. This code is used for all future filings and correspondence with ESIC.

Register All Eligible Employees (IPs)

Register each employee (called "Insured Person" or IP) with their Aadhaar, bank details and photograph. Each IP gets a unique ESIC IP number.

Monthly Contribution Filing

File monthly contribution details (amount + employee data) and pay the challan by the 15th of each month. Both employee (0.75%) and employer (3.25%) shares are deposited together.

Half-Yearly Return (Form 3)

File the ESI return (Form 3) twice a year — April–September return due by 11 November; October–March return due by 11 May. Lists all IPs, wages and contributions for the period.
